An established business since 2013, Deb Diver Designs was Inspired by enthusiasm for beautiful design elements and the opportunity to infuse it into homes, making them stylish, warm, and inviting is what energizes me most in regard to interior design. By working with you and understanding your lifestyle and visions, I will create a customized design concept that reveals a whole new beauty inside your home that you never knew was possible. These designs are more than just ordinary- I will offer you fabulous ideas for your project and will show you how to perfectly blend textures, colors, and style to make the concept come to life.

PRINCIPAL
I received my Bachelor's Degree from the Tippie School of Business at the University of Iowa and spent many years consulting with Ernst & Young. Later I served as the Director of Marketing for a wireless carrier, focusing my efforts on advertising, agency management, and retail store design.
I was fortunate to work with a very talented Chicago Interior Designer before launching Deb Diver Interior Design in 2013.
I currently reside in Glen Ellyn, IL, with my husband Brian, and we have three children, Sarah, Nick, and Ryan, along with our adorable labradoodle, Skye.
I serve the greater Chicago area along with projects in Arizona, Iowa, Florida, Colorado, Wisconsin and Costa Rica.

KATHY MALPEDE
Design Assistant & Project Manager
Kathy joined our team in 2018 in a classic case of “if you can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em.” She was an engaged and enthusiastic client during her own home transformation with DDID and we quickly realized that we needed her organization, attention to detail, and exquisite taste on every job. She juggles scheduling, sourcing design elements, and client service and keeps our projects moving forward. Kathy’s background as a classroom teacher also means her patience is endless – a characteristic that is paramount in managing projects.
Kathy and her husband, Jim, live in Glen Ellyn where they raised their two children, Will and Caroline. Winston, their Bernedoodle, is chief resident these days. Kathy has always been an active member in the community, including volunteering for organizations like St. Petronille Parent Organization and Glenbard West Boosters. Today, she and Jim continue to volunteer for Hephzibah Children’s Association.
LAURA PHILLIPS
Design Assistant & Project Manager
Laura was a client of DDID before she joined the team in the fall of 2022. Laura and her husband Geoff recently moved to Wheaton after raising their two children in Glen Ellyn for 17 years. Never afraid of a challenge, Laura is our go-to for many customers’ needs and keeps us organized and on track. When Laura isn’t helping DDID, she loves to travel with her family, spend time with friends, bake, take long walks and cheer on the Kansas Jayhawks basketball team.
Her career started in Human Resources. While raising her children, she was always involved with her community. She was an active member of The Glen Ellyn Junior Woman’s Club, Co-PTA President, a substitute teacher and a volunteer at The Ronald McDonald House. Laura has always enjoyed working with people. She’s a quick problem solver and her upbeat personality brings DDID great strength and customer service.
